Hey! I'm Zach Becker - a multidisciplinary designer passionate about motion design and emerging technologies.
Nothing is more gratifying than creating something new. Whether it’s crafting a VR experience, a product, a video, or a lego spaceship, the act of creation is inherently satisfying. With such a broad array of mediums & opportunities available in this digital age, experimentation is at the heart of my design process. During my time at Western Washington University I’ve had the opportunity to cover a wide range of techniques ranging from traditional letterpress to 3D animation.
Working closely with an immensely talented group of student designers in the BFA Design Program pushed me to create designs that were not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional. Encouragement from my professors & peers motivated me to enter some of my work into the Adobe Design Achievement Awards where I ended up winning my category with a digital publication about the International Space Station.
Additionally, the BFA Design Program gave me a taste of the rapid pace & level of detail required in a modern firm with a summer-long internship at Fell Swoop in Seattle. I’m incredibly grateful to be a part of this program and hope to apply what I’ve learned in these four years to real-world projects in VR & beyond.
